Concrete Weight Coating can be applied to the exterior of pipes to provide negative buoyancy to underwater pipelines and/or structural protection to both above ground and underwater pipelines.

Concrete Weight Coating is applied using our "Raycoat" method.

Concrete densities up to 3200 kg/m3 can be applied.

The "Raycoat " method facilitates coating to all sizes of pipes and coating thickness.

Coating can be performed at our Dammam Pipeline Services Terminal or at a conveniently located, temporarily erected coating facility, producing significant savings on transporting coated pipe.

Our Dammam Terminal has a weigh bridge facility for weighing of pipes before and after coating, if required.

The "Raycoat" system allows the pipe to be continuously coated in strings after welding which can eliminate up to 95% of field joints, providing the string with additional stability.

Concrete weight coating is normally applied over an FBE coating. The "Raycoat" method of concrete application will not damage the FBE. Coating utilizing the "Impingement" method of concrete application may damage the FBE coating.

The "Raycoat" system has been approved by Saudi Aramco as a concrete coating complying with the technical requirements of 01-SAMS-012.
